Our Ministry


Bill Adams has been taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the fans attending major sporting events across the U.S.A. and the world for over 7 years.   These events include the Super Bowl, NBA & MLB All-Star games, NCAA Final Four, BCS Championship games, various bowl games, the Kentucky Derby, the Olympics, the World Cup, Euro Cup, the Cricket World Championships, the Rugby World Cup & the Pan AM Games.

What better place to be a light for the Lord than at a gathering of tens of thousands of sports fans?

Seeing a need for more Christians to take their faith to the world, Bill organized Sports Fan Outreach as an effort to encourage our brothers and sisters in Christ to share the Good News at these major sporting events!

In Bill’s prior life he was a retail banker with First American Bank of Nasvhille, TN & Metropolitan Federal Savings & Loan of Nashville, TN; a political fundraiser for several candidates including former US Representative Bob Barr (GA – 7) & present US Rep. Zach Wamp (TN – 3) & several other candidates who lost.  Bill has a BBA from Southern Methodist University ‘84 & an MBA from Belmont University ‘88.

Our Laborers
With thousands of sports fans, from children to teens to adults, walking the streets before each game, the need for Christians to help distribute Gospel literature is great.  We have many co-laborers that participate at local events as well as travel with us to national and international events.

Church groups, friends, pastors and families all have joined us at different sporting events over the years.

There is always a need and an open door for any that wish to help the cause…the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few!

Our Beliefs

Sports Fan Outreach is a Kingdom-minded, Christ-centered, Bible-based short-term mission agency that participates in the Great Commission by taking teams to proclaim Christ (Phil. 1:18) at major sporting events in the U.S.A. and around the world.

Our purpose is to inspire the Saints toward a more intimate relationship with God our Father, the Lord Jesus Christ & the Holy Spirit as they are revealed in Holy Scripture and to proclaim the message of salvation to sinners all for the glory of God!

Doctrinal beliefs:

All men are dead (towards God) in their sins.  They have no ability to choose God on their own, they have no life in them to respond to God.  But salvation comes to man because He is rich in mercy & through His mercy He quickens man’s dead soul to life through the ministry of Christ: by grace are you saved through faith (Ephesians 2:1-9).

Faith comes by hearing & hearing through the Word (Romans 10:17).  By the foolishness of preaching do men get saved (I Cor. 1:21).  The preaching of the cross is foolishness to them that are perishing but it is the power of God to us who are being saved (I Cor. 1:18).

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. (II Timothy 3:16 – 17).

Jesus is the way, the truth & the life.  No one comes to the Father but through Him (John14:6).

The Trinity – we believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19, John 10:30).

There are only two kinds of people in this world: Saints who are saved by the blood of Jesus Christ (Romans 3:25) and sinners who will perish when Jesus returns in the clouds with His mighty angels (II Thesslonians 1:7-8).

Our life as Christians is to purposefully fulfill the Great Commission and to be obedient to the commands of our Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20; John 15:1-10).
