Robert Gray: Spreading the Faith in Uganda
The first place we preached was at the Bahati High School to the Christian students there.
I flew Ethiopian Airlines to Addis Abba Ethiopia and then to Entebbe Uganda.
I spent Sunday worship with Pastor Sam Kisembo at the Mutungo Community Church. I preached the main and evening services and shared with the youth.
We've been preaching in the different markets. This is the Zana Namasuba market.
Brother John Magoola (on the left) is an elder at Mutungo Community Church and a true evangelist. He has a tender heart in sharing the gospel and is a humble servant of the saints of his congregation
This young Christian man asked me for gospel literature to read and was very happy to receive the "What Is The Gospel" booklet by Paul Washer.
We went into the Entebbe Kitoro Market in the evening. It was filled with many people.
We preached at a school sports day. There were children from the local schools in the area. Following the preaching some of the students asked some really good questions.
Preaching in the market on Entebbe Road. It is very close to Lake Victoria.
We preached in the city center in Kampala, Uganda's capital city. There are 4.5 million people in the city.
We traveled out into the countryside to the central township of Bujuko, a vital trading center connecting many villages to meet Pastor Ronnie Ssekidde. Six months ago Pastor Ronnie planted the Bujuko Community Church in the township. I was able to encourage the saints preaching the morning message at the Sunday service. I was the second visitor to preach at the church and the first evangelist to come and work with the saints here. Here I am with Pastor Ronnie and a future intern Earnest, who recently graduated from Bible college.
Part of the morning worship service at Bujuko Community Church.
We went to the township center to preach the good news of the gospel. Many people were in the market buying and selling. Pastor Ronnie here preaching and telling people the location of the church.
Pastor Ronnie planted the Bujuko Community Church 6 months ago. This structure was built in a week. and 25-30 people are already attending after 6 months.
And next door is the devil's house, a worship center run by a witch. They actually worship the devil and make human sacrifices (done in secret). The pastor said 1000 people would come here. However since the church plant the numbers have gone down quite considerably. The people in town thank the pastor for planting the church and destroying the work of the devil.
Pastor Ronnie and I preaching in the center of Bujuko in the market area.
Our team of evangelists from Bujuko Community Church; John, Agnes, Justine (Pastor Ronnie's wife), Pastor Ronnie and Resti.
We went to do door to door evangelism. Pastor Ronnie, Resti and I talked with this woman and her son.
