Argentina  vs. Jordan 

Praise the Lord! Mighty time of Gospel proclamation at the FIFA World Cup as over 100,000+ gathered in for the Argentina vs. Jordan match. Brothers Greg, Ken, Will, Jason, Chris G., Cody, Jacob, Justin, Elijah (who helped us translate in Spanish), and I had the privilege of lifting up the name of Christ before the nations. This game brought in more opposition than the other games but the Lord granted us the endurance to continue proclaiming the Gospel.

By God’s grace, we were able to have several meaningful Gospel conversations with fans from different countries around the world, distribute over 600 Gospel tracts, and place 2 Bibles into the hands of those seeking God’s Word. We pray that every conversation, every tract, and every Bible would be used by the Lord to draw sinners to His Son.

Much encouragement out there seeing the Lord raise up believers from many different churches and ministries who desired to make Christ known. It was a beautiful reminder that Christ continues to raise up laborers for His harvest. A brother named Renato, a missionary originally from Italy who has faithfully served in Mexico for over 30 years, came by to encourage us and rejoice in the Gospel going forth. Adrian from First Baptist Forney arrived with a team who strategically positioned themselves nearby to distribute Arabic Gospel tracts to many of the Jordanian fans entering the stadium. Praise God for the opportunity to place the Gospel into the hands of those who may have little opportunity to hear it in their own country.

Another brother named Houston also joined nearby carrying over 2,000 Gospel tracts, eager to labor in making Christ known.

Diaja and Victoria from Trinity Church stopped to encourage us as well. They each received a Bible, took our ministry information, and invited us to come speak to the youth at their church. We are thankful for their encouragement and pray the Lord would continue to strengthen them as they seek to make Christ known.

What stood out most was not the opposition but the unity of the body of Christ. It was deeply encouraging to watch brothers and sisters from different churches labor with one purpose: to proclaim that salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone.

Please continue praying that every Gospel tract distributed, every Bible given, and every conversation bears fruit according to God’s perfect will. May He grant salvation to all who heard and received a tract not only from us but all the others laboring out there and may the Lord convert these souls into Christians  to to bring the Gospel into their own nations and draw more sinners to His Son, and glorify Himself among the nations.

FIFA World Cup Dallas Outreach Japan  vs. Sweden  Praise the Lord for a mighty and fruitful day of Gospel glory at the FIFA World Cup Japan vs. Sweden match. Brothers Greg, Ken, Will, Jason, and I had the privilege of proclaiming Christ to the nations as thousands poured in for the this game. By God’s grace, this was one of the most fruitful outreaches yet! A special blessing was being able to proclaim the Gospel in Japanese. Brother Tatsuo from Los Angeles translated a pre-recorded Gospel message for us, which we played over the amplification as thousands of Japanese fans entered the stadium.

Many were stunned to hear the Word of God being proclaimed in their own language. Brother Jason also had the opportunity to speak with Willette, a woman who claimed to be a minister. He graciously walked through several passages like 1 Timothy 2 and others concerning biblical church leadership being reserved for men and encouraged her to examine God’s Word. She received additional ministry resources, photographed our signs, and desired to stay in contact to walk through those scriptures together possibly in the future. Brother Greg spoke with Angel, who gladly received a Bible and heard the Gospel. The highlight of the day was our conversation with David, originally from Brazil, who was waiting in line to enter the stadium. While Jason was preaching, David said he suddenly felt compelled to leave the crowd as he began to listen. As he approached us, he was visibly broken over his sin and confessed that he knew he deserved hell and wanted to get right with God!

We carefully walked him through the Gospel, explaining Christ’s perfect life, substitutionary death, and victorious resurrection. David had many sincere questions, particularly about assurance and what happens when believers still struggle with sin. We opened the Scriptures together, looking at Ephesians 2:8-9, John 6, and Ezekiel 36, explaining that salvation is entirely by God’s grace through faith, that faith itself is God’s gift, and that those whom God saves He also gives a new heart and new desires to follow Him. As we called David to repent and trust in Christ alone, he responded with tears, saying, “I receive it. I believe.” We prayed with him, and during prayer he repeatedly confessed, “I don’t deserve it, God is holy… God is holy…” overwhelmed by God’s mercy toward a sinner. We reminded him that true assurance rests not in our performance but in the finished work of Christ, and that genuine repentance and faith are evidences of God’s gracious work in the heart. David received a Bible, exchanged contact information with us, and asked for help finding a faithful church when he heads back to Brazil, where he teaches English.

We pray the Lord continues the work He has begun in his life. This was a beautiful time to witness God visibly working on someone’s heart, the fruit of open-air preaching! And sometimes we never get to see these things out there but by God’s grace and mercy He allowed us to see this beautiful interaction take place today! Absolute highlight of the outreach! Please keep David in prayer. Another encouraging conversation came with Cameron, who approached carrying a Quran. Will invited him to throw it away and take a Bible instead, which he gladly did. Cameron initially believed his entrance into heaven depended upon how well he lived. Walking through God’s Law exposed his need for Christ, allowing us to clearly present the Gospel. He received a Bible, was encouraged to read Psalm 51, and exchanged contact information so we can help connect him with a faithful church in Mansfield. A sister in Christ also requested a Bible so she and her boyfriend could begin reading the Scriptures together.

Jason spoke with a young man named Chris, who admitted he had been trusting in his own works. After hearing the Gospel, Chris received a Bible, expressed a desire to trust Christ in the spot and give his life to Him, and asked to be prayed for. We also spoke with a man named Avi, who identified with New Age spirituality and appealed to personal experience as the standard of truth, empiricism. He initially came over trying to stop me from preaching but was able to redirect the conversation to the brothers, who spoke with him at length. The conversation allowed them point him back to God’s objective revelation and the necessity of Christ, which a seed was planted at the end of the conversation. Another believer named Assa requested a Bible to use while evangelizing across the street. It was encouraging to see other Christians laboring out there. We met Travis and his family who joined Upperroom Church’s evangelism team, who had also come to share the Gospel with World Cup attendees.

They desired to stay connected, and we exchanged contact information with the hope of continuing fellowship and discussing our shared commitment to evangelism. Adolfo and Esteban from Bolivia stopped by as Esteban sought to minister to his friend Adolfo. They gladly received two Bibles so they could continue studying God’s Word together. We also met Joyana and Jacob, who were encouraged by us sharing the Gospel there as we met them on our way back to the car. After discussing the Gospel together, they affirmed that salvation is found in Christ alone through His finished work. One especially encouraging conversation came with Officer Hobbs, a Texas State Trooper. Officer Hobbs shared how a recent sermon had convicted him to be bolder in sharing his faith. It was a joy to encourage this officer in the Gospel and get him to share with his new partner in the vehicle.

Later, members of a local Muslim dawah team had a tent set up where they were giving away free Qurans. We engaged them also on our way back to the car. They accepted three of our Answering the Beliefs of Islam brochures, requested three Bibles, and desired to reach out for further conversations at a later time. We pray the Lord would use His Word to draw them to Himself. By God’s grace, approximately 700 Gospel tracts, 11 Bibles, and 3 “Answering the Beliefs of Islam” brochures were distributed. Countless people from many nations heard the Gospel through open-air preaching and one-on-one conversations! Please pray especially for David, Cameron, Chris, the Muslim men we met, and all those who heard the Word of God today.

Pray that the Lord would grant repentance and gift saving faith, strengthen new believers, and continue raising up faithful laborers for His harvest. 2 Peter 3:3-4 Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation. Soli Deo Gloria.

FIFA is a busy time filled with souls who need the Lord. We were able to share the gospel from the Old Testament scriptures with two Jews, and they took specific gospel tracts showing how Jesus fulfilled Old Testament prophecies such as Isaiah 7:14; 9:6-7; 53; Micah 5:2.

One guy said he was a Jewish muslim who was Jesus, a gay guy from Argentina was insulted and we told him he could be forgiven, someone said Jesus didn't annoy people and that was easily refuted. Me and Jacob existed for 6 and a half hours.
