Thank you for responding to the request to "Sponsoring An Evangelist".


  • SFOI's goal is for sports sinners to become Christians.
  • To that end we recruit evangelists to preach Christ at major sporting events, concerts and festivals; minister in the moment to those fans who respond and refer them to a Bible teaching church for discipleship.
  • At these major events there are tens of thousands of people available every day to hear the Gospel and often in different locations in the city. This necessitates SFOI to have as many evangelists as possible. 
  • To "Sponsor An Evangelist" (donate the cost of their participation) is to put an evangelist in the midst of the fans to minister to them for 8 hours per day for 3 - 4 days.

One other goal that increases the value of "Sponsoring an Evangelist" is the discipling of the evangelist with the intent they will continue to minister for the long term when they return home.


Discipleship is accomplished through fellowship.


Fellowship occurs through everyone staying at the same accommodations, sharing meals, praying together, working in teams and hearing teachings led by other evangelists, Pastor and/or Professors.


In summary, SFOI wants sinners at major events to become Christians and in the process disciples evangelists to mature in the work.
