Game Summaries

10/29 - UT vs. Kentucky

UT played Kentucky at night on Oct. 29.  Mary, his wife Gynette, and I were there at our regular ministry location from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM.  Huge crowds as expected since UT was undefeated and Kentucky ranked in the top 20.

Several people stopped to say hello and we prayed together.  Another good day of sowing and watering the Word.

10/15 - Evangelists participating:  Wendell, Wendy and Wava Shrock, Jeff Lansdowne, Bill Adams.

Praise the Lord for another fruitful day at UT.  UT hosted Alabama and with both teams undefeated and in the top 10 they fans were at Neyland Stadium very early making it possible for them to hear the Gospel often and receive tracts.

Beginning at 11:30 AM - 3:30 PM the Gospel was preached from our usual location; a few people talked to us personally; lots of fans responded positively as the passed and some mocked.

Overall it was another wonderful and fruitful day of Gospel preaching, sowing and watering and pray for an increase from God.

9/24 - UT vs. Florida 9/24/22.  Big games always draw the crowds out early and Saturday in Knoxville was no exception.  ESPN began their Game Day Program at 9:00 AM and when I arrived at our ministry location at 12:30 the crowd looked like everyone going to the game was already there for a 3:30 PM kickoff.

Praise the Lord for 12 of us being there to minister to the fans and local citizens.  Wendell Shrock brought his family of 8, Aaron from last Saturday was there, plus an old friend Jeff and two evangelists I did not know from Greeneville.

The Gospel was proclaimed and many people took tracts and had conversations.

Bill Starkey a friend and supporter from North Carolina said hello and Libby who works at Neyland Stadium stopped by again.  She has donated $20 both weeks which went to purchase water.

Next game is October 22.  Alabama is the opponent.  If UT is still undefeated it'll be another big game.

9/17 - Saturday's UT outreach was outstanding!  First, Wendell Shrock brought 4 of his children with him; Wendell's friends Tony and then Matt joined us and another of their friends who was witnessing to the fans individually stopped by and lastly Aaron, at the game by himself, joined us.  In all a total of 11 evangelists were at the game.

PLUS, and this is a huge answer to pray, a lady came over and said, "I'm a Christian can I pass out some tracts?"  She did so for an hour before she went into the game.  I've been praying the Lord would bring fans out of the crowd to join us!  And the Lord answered the prayer!  Hallelujah!

Lastly, the fans arrived early and the crowd was large all evening from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM.

9/1/22 - Thursday's initial evangelism for the 2022 Season began very well.  As usual thousands upon thousands passed be to hear the Word; several friends from prior years and other locations said hello; many fans and stadium workers who had seen me before greeted me again and many Saints were encouraged and sinners heard the Word.  Brother Jeff was also there holding his cross and distributing tracts. Praise the Lord for a wonderful day!
